Covers macro and wide-angle digital imaging techniques, UW strobe use, how to prevent flooding, care and maintenance of digital camera systems, computer hardware and software requirements for downloading, backup, digital editing and archival storage of your images. Camera systems are available for use at no extra cost or students may supply their own. Includes PADI Certification. Diving fee is additional.

Learn how to make fantastic images of the oceans smallest fish and creatures. This hands-on interactive full day class begins in the classroom and finishes in the ocean with two dives. Topics covered include macro shooting theory, focus control, exposure control and adjustment and composition. The ocean session will develop the skills and techniques necessary for properly exposed, focused and composed macro and fish portraits with an underwater digital SLR camera system. Camera systems are available for use at no extra cost or student can use their own. Diving fee is additional.

Digital Underwater SLR ~ Wide-angle Class

Put it all together with a day and a half and get ready for that dive vacation. This is a class designed to improve your skills and have you ready to capture both macro and wide-angle images with your digital SLR camera system. This class includes one morning of classroom followed by 2 afternoon dives and 2 dives the following day. All 4 dives are done offshore at remote locations via dive boat and are guided by the Instructor. Topics covered include D-SLR camera function, understanding resolution, how to prevent flooding, care and maintenance of digital SLR camera systems, computer hardware and software requirements for downloading, backup, digital editing and archival storage of your images. Camera systems are available for use or student can use their own. This course will give you the PADI Digital Underwater Photography certification as well. Diving fee is additional.

Learn the fast and effective workflow solution to color correct your images. Learn the most effective methods to quickly and easily correct your underwater images. This hands-on 3-hour class will get you acquainted with the techniques used to remove backscatter, color correct, manage and file your images. Topics covered include how to use layers, levels, curves, hue/saturation, sharpening, re-sizing, saving, storing and archiving your images. Uses Adobe Photoshop CS2. This is a non-certification class.

Videographer Class

Learn the basics of underwater video. This class is designed to teach students the basics of underwater video techniques. The class includes a 3 hour classroom session and then two afternoon dives followed by two dives the following day.
